Our Philosophy of Worship
We were created to worship the living God, to enjoy him and find our happiness in him, rather than looking elsewhere for our joy, happiness and fulfillment. Our Sunday morning worship is a place where we corporately meet with God, pull away from artificial objects of worship - money, careers, relationships, approval, power and control, among many other things - and set our hearts on God.
Theological Vision of Worship
Our worship is:
- Centered in the gospel of Christ as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King
- Based on scriptural patterns of worship
Based on scripture and directed by the Spirit of God, we have freedom to create worship that is centered in the truth, relevant to our culture, in the language and sounds of our congregation and our nearby communities; reflective of the worldwide church in time and space, not limited to American 21st Century Popular Culture; engaging to both the believer and unbeliever; and excellent in musical and spiritual beauty, depth, and uniqueness.
